Fit For A King

A child stood before a King with nothing to offer but a song. No riches. No fine gifts. Just a heartbeat, a rhythm, a simple act of love.

That’s the story of The Little Drummer Boy—and, in a way, it’s the story of all of us.

We come before the King of Kings—Jesus—not with perfection, but with what we have: our lives. The good, the broken, the ordinary. And just like the drummer boy, we find that Jesus isn’t looking for polished gifts or status. He’s looking for hearts that are willing.

Over 2,000 years ago, that King stepped down from heaven, born in a humble manger. He lived the perfect life we couldn’t live and gave His life on the cross so we could be forgiven and free. Then He rose again, proving He truly is the King over all.

And now, He invites us to bring our lives—our “drumbeat”—to Him. When we give Him our hearts, He makes them new. That’s what it means to be fit for a King—not because we’re perfect, but because His love makes us worthy.

So what will you bring before the King today?

Join us Sunday’s in December for our Christmas series, Fit For A King.
